George "Shino" Shenton (15 June 1899 – 10 February 1978) was an English footballer.
Shenton played for Naybro Stone, Downing's Tileries and Blythe Bridge before joining Port Vale as an amateur in June 1927, signing professional forms in August that year and making his debut on 10 November in a 3–1 defeat at Grimsby Town. He was a regular in the 1929–1930 Football League Third Division North winning side, but by August 1933 had lost his place in the first 11. He was released at the end of the 1935–36 season. Later he played for Shelton Iron and Steel.[1]
His benefit match was held against rivals Stoke on 30 September 1935, Vale lost the game 6–2.[2]
